The studio

Atelier Nérée, architecture studio on the French Riviera

Atelier Nérée designs and transforms high-end villas across the French Riviera. Every project starts with the site: its slope, its light, its views, its planting and its regulatory framework.

    Cécile Dupré, HMONP architect

Cécile Dupré is the lead contact for Atelier Nérée projects. She guides clients from the first reading of a property through the stages entrusted to the studio, coordinating architectural, planning and technical decisions. She is also the founder of SHTEPI, her architecture studio in Paris.

    Positioning

The studio focuses on high-end villa architecture: new builds, deep renovations, extensions and the transformation of existing properties. The work is contemporary and Mediterranean, attentive to the scale of volumes, the restraint of materials and the relationship between interiors, terraces and landscape.

    Approach

The site comes before the drawing. Analysis covers siting, light through the seasons, views to frame and views to protect, air movement, existing vegetation and the real uses of the house. Materials are chosen for how they behave in a coastal climate as much as for their tactile quality. Planning rules are built into the design from the first sketch, as project material.

    Area covered

French Riviera: Nice, Cannes, Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, Cap d'Antibes, Saint-Tropez, Ramatuelle and the Estérel range.

    Method

Feasibility study, sketch and preliminary design, planning application, contractor consultation, then architectural support during construction. Each stage is framed in advance: what is studied, what is decided, what is submitted.
